    Mark Nunez, DVM

    Dr. Nunez is a decorated US Air Force and Army veteran who graduated from the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2002 and has been practicing on Long Island ever since. His areas of professional interest include canine behavior, preventative medicine, dermatology, dentistry, obesity management, arthritis, and endocrinology. Dr. Nunez also serves as a behavior consultant for several rescue groups, both local and nationwide. He has a dog, Roxy, and a cat, Kelly.

    Michael Funk, DVM

    Having received his training through Michigan State University, Dr. Michael Funk uses an excellent set of core values to balance progressive medicine with practicality and has been recognized as 'Best Veterinarian' of Long Island for six consecutive years (2014 - 2019). He organized the relief effort for the animals of Long Island following Hurricane Sandy, not only recognizing the medical needs of animals, but also the irreplaceable connection between a person and his/her pet. Dr. Michael Funk ensures your pets receive the best medical care possible by blending open and frequent communication with a strong base of knowledge and experience.

    Sue Fischman, DVM

    Dr. Fischman is a graduate of Cornell University and her areas of special interests are preventative medicine, geriatrics, animal welfare, and client education. She enjoys interacting with dedicated clients who appreciate their animals as much as she does. Dr. Fischman has always had a menagerie of pets, and currently shares her home with Gideon, a Doberman Pinscher, Snookie, a Chihuahua, Penni, a senior Dachshund, and 4 cats named Wallaby, Flan, Grizzly, and Devon. She believes in giving back to the community and volunteers her time with several rescue organizations on Long Island.

    Max J. Meltzer, DVM

    Dr. Max J Meltzer earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from St. George’s University in the beautiful West Indies, and completed clinical training at Louisiana State University. His first pet was a Cockapoo named Elvis, whose lovable personality and battle with cancer inspired him to pursue a career in the veterinary field. He has professional interests in radiology and surgery has completed Fear Free Certification. In his free time, he likes to read, play board and card games with his friends and family, and watch movies.
